We are hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager at our Minnesota corporate office in either Bloomington or Marshall. In this hybrid role, you will lead transformational change within the indirect procurement category related to the process and technology of the SAP ERP system.  This role will also have responsibility for assigned category spend including research, negotiation, contracting, budgeting and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the end-to-end change management process for indirect procurement across the company related to transformational change with process and technology including documenting change impacts, stakeholders impacted, and business readiness efforts
  • Responsible for the overall training, communications, and identification of impacted stakeholders across procurement area to ensure adoption of changes are sustained.
  • Manages operational, supply and quality issues for category.
  • Develop and manage the suppliers base to ensure optimized cost and supply for SFC operating facilities.
  • Identifies potential suppliers, organizes, negotiates costs, terms and conditions, and manages assigned product categories within multiple business units for assigned products.
  • Responsible for managing and leading complex negotiations.
  • Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies, and work collaboratively with team members to prioritize and drive implementation.
  • Category contract oversite and management including contract renewal, termination notice timing, optimizing pricing of competitive bids
  • Collaborate with responsible Engineering, Maintenance and Operating supervision to secure best services, material substitution, and value
  • Manage discussions between vendors and engineering, operating or maintenance personnel as required or directed.
  • Work with business partners to establish holistic supplier strategies and establish partner objectives/review process
  • Key elements of the role include support holistic category management development, leading the source to pay process, managing the commercial relationships (contracts), providing negotiation/supplier relationship management expertise, and driving Total Value Proposition

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business Admin. or equivalent, MBA preferred
  • Years of Related Experience: 5-9 Years of related experience in the food industry
  • Must have SAP experience in maintenance module and material management module
  • Currently have or is willing to obtain ASCM - CPIM or CSCP
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Experience implementing process and technology changes across a geographically dispersed group of individuals including planning, communications, and training
  • Proven ability to build relationships quickly, self-driven, and understanding of change management principles.
  • Proficiency with data, category, and market analysis. Experienced in analyzing supplier logistics network to optimize delivered costs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $103,000 to $171,000 annually with eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
