We are hiring a Sr. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist in North East PA. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of moderate to complex safety programs, policies and processes in an effort to achieve a workplace free of work- related injuries and to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and/or company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Organizes and administers a comprehensive safety and compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulations and standards.
- Conducts root cause analysis for incidents, develops action plans for corrective measures, and provides coaching or recommends disciplinary action when necessary.
- Formulates and communicates safety practices to company personnel to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Manages and maintains an active safety committee, facilitating meetings and promoting employee engagement in safety initiatives.
- Collaborates with plant leadership and departments to design and utilize equipment and processes that minimize risk and ensure safety goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of PA, OSHA, and other State or Federal program requirements.
- Work experience or education in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, and/or Industrial Safety and Health.
- Must be willing to obtain training in safety, PSM and environmental regulations and related programs. Specialized knowledge of hazardous materials.
- Experience with plant operations and processes preferred.
- Able to work in both hot and cold environments.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $73,500 to $122,500 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
